Hořín Castle

Castle from the period of supreme Baroque was built in 1696. Its holder was Heřman Jakub Černín z Chudenic and it pertained to estate of Mělník. The castle was projected by Giovanni Battista Alliprandi. In 1713 - 1720 it was rebuilt by the architect František Maxmilián Kaňka.
At present the castle is neglected. There is a beautiful chapel with frescoes by Jan Petr Molitor and statues by Ignác František Platzer.
